Terms of Service
the deal, in plain language
Last updated: July 2026
The service
Jon's Reminders sends reminders by text message. You create reminders on the web or by texting our number; we deliver them at the scheduled time. With consent, you can also set up reminders for someone else — they must reply YES before anything is sent to them, and their STOP always works instantly.
Your account
- You must be 18 or older and provide accurate information.
- You're responsible for activity on your account. Keep your login to yourself.
- Only verify phone numbers you own, and only invite people whose numbers you have a genuine relationship with.
Plans, billing & refunds
- Paid plans are billed monthly at the price shown when you subscribe. Prices may change with notice; changes never apply retroactively.
- 30-day money-back guarantee: if the service doesn't help within your first 30 days, email us and we'll refund your payment — no questions.
- Cancel anytime: cancellation stops future billing; your plan runs through the period you've paid for.
- Downgrades take effect immediately; existing reminders that a lower plan wouldn't allow keep working, but new ones follow the new plan's limits.
- Standard message & data rates from your carrier may apply, like any text.
Acceptable use
Don't use Jon's Reminders to:
- send spam, harassment, or messages to people who haven't consented;
- violate any law, or any carrier or messaging regulation;
- probe, disrupt, or overload the service.
We may suspend accounts that break these rules — protecting the messaging channel protects every other customer.
What we are (and aren't)
- Jon's Reminders is a friendly reminder service — not a medical device, and not a substitute for medical care, medication management, medication dispensing, or emergency services. Reminder content is written by you, not by us, and we provide no medical advice.
- A DONE reply is self-reported: it means someone replied to a text, not that a task was performed or a medication was taken. Heads-up alerts report the absence of a reply — nothing more.
- You are responsible for judging suitability for anyone you set up reminders for. Text reminders are not appropriate for people with severe memory loss or cognitive impairment, or for situations requiring verified dispensing — a locked pill dispenser or in-person care is the right tool there.
- We work hard to deliver every reminder on time, but SMS depends on carriers and networks we don't control. Don't rely on the service as the sole safeguard for anything where a missed or repeated message could cause harm.
- To the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before a claim.

Changes & contact
If these terms change materially, we'll tell you by email or text before the change takes effect. Questions: support@jonsreminders.com — a human answers.
These terms are written in plain language on purpose. They're not legal advice, and they'll be reviewed by a lawyer as the service grows.
